Seattle In A Day

📍 Seattle, Washington, a city I come back to often.

Being from Alaska, we like to say it’s the closest “big city” to home and at just a 3.5-hour flight from Anchorage, it’s the perfect weekend escape.
If you’re up for a walk, I put together a few of my favorite downtown spots that just might be haunted

🚶Start at Pike Place Market before the crowds. When it’s quiet, the energy shifts, empty stalls, echoing footsteps, and that feeling like someone’s just around the corner… even when no one is. Legend has it that Chief Seattle’s daughter is a frequent visitor to the market. Some have reported seeing her early in the morning before things get busy and bustling. If you’re up for food and a show, The Can Can and The Dressing Room are great spots that might have some ghostly patrons.

🚶‍♂️Head to Kells Irish Pub, built over Seattle’s underground. It’s warm and lively upstairs, but people have reported glasses moving, doors opening, and laughter that doesn’t always have a source. Not only are the food and drink delicious at Kells, the bartenders have some pretty wild stories about spirits that still linger from the days of past.

🚶‍♀️Then Owl & Thistle, loud, social, easy to get comfortable in… until you catch a still moment where something feels slightly off. The building is OLD. And who ever liked to spend time there before it was The Owl and Thistle, well, they’re still hanging around. There are accounts of strange sightings and cold spots in the hall way that leads to the bathroom. If you go, check out the freight elevator on the way to the bathroom and let me know your thoughts….

🚶🏻‍♂️End at The Moore Theater, one of Seattle’s oldest. People say figures linger on the balcony and back stage and even when it’s empty, it can feel like the stage still has an audience. If you’re catching a show there, look for The Lady in Red up in the balcony. No one knows exactly who she is, but she’s been there for a long time.

Shout out to my husband and unofficial business partner Ethan for not just posing for photos but letting me drag him to every spot that just might be haunted đź–¤
